Money raised this term

teaWe’ve had such wonderful support from the parent community since January to help us raise funds for the school.

Most recent thanks go to all the parents who kindly served many cups of tea & coffee during the parent consultations … and of course to all those who enjoyed some much needed sustenance during their busy evening.
uniform

The recent uniform sale generated £228.50 for the school.  These sales are a great way of providing good quality second-hand uniform at very reasonable cost to Sciennes families, whilst also raising some funds for the school.  It relies on people bringing in their out-grown or unwanted uniform, so thank you for all the contributions.  Don’t worry if you missed the sale, there will be another sale at the Summer Fair on June 3rd – put the date in your diary!

ceilidhThe P1-3 Ceilidh, Family Ceilidh and P4 disco not only provided much enjoyment for all who danced, but also amassed an amazing collective total of £971.88 for the school. Not bad for a little jig!

Special thanks go to Macalastairs, on their 28th year at the Sciennes ceilidh, and June Underwood who guided us all through the dances at the Family Ceilidh. Also to Carolyn Brockbank of Ceilidh Kids for hosting the P1-3 Ceilidh.

Thank you again to all involved, volunteering their time and energy into making these events successful and tremendous fun for all who come to them – we couldn’t do it without your support.

For anyone who shops online, if you register with Easyfundraising you can raise money for Sciennes Primary without it costing you a penny extra.   This applies to hundreds of online shops, including Amazon, and it’s very easy to set up.

So far since January 2017, from these activities and your generosity, together we’ve raised £1426.19.  So a big thank you from us all!

We’ve got more fantastic events lined up next term to bring us all together, including our wonderful Summer Fair on June 3rd – so keep your eyes out for more information on how to get involved in that after the Easter break.
